Riyadh: Yemen's Houthi rebels tried
unsuccessfully to launch a drone attack on Saudi airport.
According to Arab media reports, Saudi Air Defense has foiled a
Houthi drone strike on the country's Najran airport on Sunday night.
A spokesman for the Arab Military Alliance said the drone was
stopped and destroyed before reaching its target.
The spokesman said that the drone crashed and its fragments fell
in the residential area of Al-Arisa but no casualties were reported. We crushed
the enemy's intentions.
He also said that the Houthi rebel drone that was stopped and
destroyed on the way was sent to the target from Sanaa airport but their
attempt was thwarted.
The Arab League spokesman added that options were on the table in
response to an attempt by Iranian-backed Houthi militias to target the airport.
